Catching Up...kids, reunions, and we need a job!

I used to be such a prolific blogger. Of course, I was single & had no children. (I was selfish and self absorbed, too.)

Life has been rolling along.

The children are doing well. Gus is enjoying his final year of nursery school (and final year of public school education). He is a kind and creative boy with a wild imagination & energy level to boot!

Mattson is my rough and tumble kid. He tries like crazy to keep up with his big brother! In fact, if you ask him his age, he'll tell you he's 4 1/2 (not so).

The Minis, Rex & Clementine are 9 1/2 months old now. I can't believe that my babies are growing so quickly! (A year ago at this time, I was waddling around miserably & barely functioning!) They just had their check-up: Rex weighs 19 pounds and Clementine weighs 17 pounds...both of them landing in the 25th percentile for height & weight.

The Family enjoyed a Thanksgiving Road Trip to Savannah, GA. One of my cousins lives in Savannah. My cousins, spouses, parents, & children totaled 10 people. Our family plus my brother & daddy totaled another 8. It was a blast!

My daddy rented a home in historic downtown Savannah for our 8 family members. It was a *GORGEOUS* home! The decor was something right out of a designer magazine. And not the least bit decorated for 4 small children! :) Rex did learn to crawl in this home...and 15 minutes later he used the antique coffee table to learn to stand and "furniture walk". (Things haven't slowed down for a minute since then!)

We love the city of Savannah. We enjoyed yummy food and the chance to catch-up with our family!

Greg's employment is once again on the chopping block. You know, we've been expecting this job to end for a year now. Each time the company extended his employment. This time though, there will be no extension. His job ends on January 8th.

We believe that God's hand is in all of this. God has always provided for us in the past. I have no reason to believe that He won't continue to provide. I might not understand His Plan or His Timing, but I do believe that it is all for His Good. That God wants only good for us, his children.

I will struggle to keep my chin and head up at times. I might not be able to see "the forest for the trees" while we're in the thick of things, but I look forward to looking back and seeing The Plan that God laid out...

We'd appreciate your prayers, too be sure!

Ok, 11:51 pm...time to go to bed!

  2. We were laid off this year for a short time but for 7 months a few years back and God was soooo good and I let Him provide through my husband. We are still so thankful for that experience!! Blessings.
